Cinco Mayo celebration reaches five points
Denver – The city’s annual Cinco de Mayo and the all-new First Friday Five Points Jazz Hop merge for the first time into a two-day series of FREE Latin concerts in Denver’s Historic District.
From Friday May 7 to Saturday May 8, the creative cultural mix in places along Welton Street not only hosts a variety of jazz artists with Hispanic musical flavors, but also people have the opportunity to learn the steps of salsa at Five Points Plaza.
Norman Harris, President of Mile High Festivals and one of the organizers said;
“The area has always been a multicultural melting pot, so it’s exciting to commemorate the annual celebration of Latinos in a neighborhood of Denver that has always had strong historic and historic ties. Latin Jazz lives at Five Points, so we are honored and privileged to create this fun, FREE party and invite everyone to join in on the jubilations!
The Weekend Cultural Collaboration is a joint venture between Mile High Festivals, organizer of the city’s Nineteenth Celebration and First Friday Five Points Jazz Hop, Curtis Park Neighbors, The Five Points BID, KUVO and Agave Shore .
Notable live performance highlights include Conjontes Colores, Los Chicos Malos DJ Ricky O and Los Mocochetes, Westword Magazine Music Award Winners.
