The Utah Jazz have struggled a bit this year and are only the 4th seed this season compared to 1st last season. However, there is no doubt that they are still a good defensive team that can block attacks from other teams night after night.

Previously, it was rumored that there was some discontent in the Utah Jazz locker room. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst claimed that Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell were “at each other’s throats”.

“Gobert and Mitchell went after each other…I don’t know if I can say at each other’s throats,” Brian Windhorst said.

“It’s back to being passive-aggressively goofy,” Tim MacMahon quipped.

“It’s the most underrated story in the league, I think,” continued Windhorst. “The Jazz are struggling a lot. This team had high expectations and they are frankly exceeded. They are not at the level where they were a year ago. Donovan and Gobert, even though they are both under contract at long term, are under each other’s skin. There’s all kinds of sub-tweets and passive aggressive stuff going on.

While Donovan Mitchell has denied that he and Rudy Gobert are getting stronger again, reports of discontent in the Utah Jazz locker room keep spreading. Howard Beck recently claimed that the “tensions in this locker room” might actually be “a little worse than we’ve been led to believe”.

“They’re in trouble because this thing has run its course and we know there’s tension in that dressing room… I was told recently that they might be a little worse than what we’ve even been brought to to believe. ”

It remains to be seen if there will be any further reports on this situation. The Utah Jazz have won their last 5 games though, so if there are any issues right now, they clearly don’t affect the team.

Hopefully we see the Utah Jazz have a good playoff run this year. They’ve failed there in past seasons, even giving the Los Angeles Clippers a 2-0 lead last season. But this season could still turn out differently, and there is no doubt that they have a strong competitive squad.
