It’s time again for the San Antonio Spurs at Utah Jazz

Welcome to the discussion thread. Veterans of the discussion thread know how we do things here, but for all newbies we have a few rules. Our Community rules apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and swear too much. Remember, this is only a game and unless you make a very reckless bet, the outcome shouldn’t affect your life anyway. It’s okay to get angry, but don’t take it out on your fellow Spurs fans.

Spurs lost by 11 on Monday, but that’s misleading as they were never in the game for the 48 minutes he played. When Jakob Poeltl landed early fouls, Silver and Black didn’t get much of a response as Bojan Bogdanovic and Rudy Gobert ate up Spurs’ defense and at the other end the offense stagnated because Gobert had already had a questioning Spurs shooter. whenever they came close to the painting with its incredible defensive reach. Factor in a night of cold shooting from a distance, and the loss was inevitable.

Meanwhile, the play-in race is tightening and it looks like Spurs may need to win a few games to keep their 10th place finish. To do this, they’ll need a few shooters to step up and hit a few triples to open up the paint for DeMar readers. Patty Mills has been a shadow of himself lately, and he’s going to have to hit a few shots for Spurs to have a shot tonight. Devin Vassell showed signs of improvement on Monday, he’s going to have to make an impact tonight. Keldon Johnson has hit a wall lately, but he’s just the kind of guy to walk through it. Maybe this evening.

Pelicans and kings and grizzly bears, oh my! How the hell are we going to get out of this? There are other things to worry about, for example. . . we have to find a way to beat Jazz.

[Note: oddly enough, neither of these teams is off the see the Wizards anytime soon.]

One last word:

Go GOOOOOO spurs !!
