LakewoodAlive’s Front Porch 2021 concert series will feature nine live musical performances virtually staged starting June 4.
Research shows that music can be a powerful healing tool, helping us create memories, build community, and collectively uplift our spirits. Right now, in the midst of a time when the need for social connection is perhaps greater than ever, we are excited to bring the community together through live music.
LakewoodAlive announces his 2021 Porch Concert Series Sponsored by Bentley Wealth Management by Raymond James will present nine live musical performances hosted virtually via LakewoodAlive Facebook page each Friday evening at 7 p.m. from June 4 to July 30.
Now in its 11th year, the popular music series remains virtual to ensure health and safety during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but LakewoodAlive remains committed to strengthening Lakewood’s sense of community by offering free weekly concerts that families and all music lovers can enjoy.

The talented lineup of musical performers that make up the 11th annual Front Porch Concert Series offers a wide range of musical genres offering something to suit all musical tastes. Spanning many genres, each weekly concert remains family-friendly while immersing itself in a variety of different sounds. See the weekly artist schedule below.
The Front Porch 2021 concert series consists of comeback acts and new performers and kicks off on June 4 with a performance by Carlos Jones and the PLUS group, a roots reggae group known to make you slip into your dance shoes. Carlos has entertained audiences for over 35 years and will perform with his current group, the PLUS Band aka Peace, Love, Unity Syndicate, a six-piece group dedicated to positive vibes.
The next step is Apostle Jones who are known to keep their shows fresh, alternating between soulful styles and genres that talk about who they are as people, as musicians to give their fans a good experience.
Lakewood based Diana chittester, is a folk-rocker. Known for her acrobatics on the acoustic guitar, her passionate voices and her intimate stories.
Theron brown aims to make you feel good and to immerse you in the roots of jazz, gospel and fusion. The trio are truly unique and have a sound that is recognized in Northeast Ohio as something exciting.
Jul Big Green is a genre-mixing artist who combines Pop with Hip-Hop and Rock elements. Entertaining audiences with various musical arrangements across much of the East Coast and internationally since 2015, this unique artist truly accomplishes his goal of having a song for everyone.
Becky Boyd and the Groove Train is a four-piece group that plays classics and originals from blues, jazz and R&B. Her voice is exceptional, combining great sound and incredible feel.
Mo ‘Mojo is a Zydeco based “Party-Gras” group, headed by a woman, hard driving and energetic. Mo ‘Mojo takes Zydeco music and infuses it with Americana, Cajun, Reggae, Rock & Roll, Funk, R&B and African and Latin beats.
Roxy red light are a professional band from Cleveland, Ohio that play an upbeat mix of jazz standards, jump blues, swing, boogie-woogie and a hint of old-school R&B.
The end of the series will be Front porch lights, a five-track indie rock from Cleveland. The group weaves aerial folk and folk influences with the guts of their Rust Belt roots to create an aural experience that is both lively and emotional.
