Last free Edmonds summer concerts scheduled for August 21, 23 and 25
The last free summer concerts of 2022 in the park take place this week, with upcoming performances on Sunday, August 21 at City Park, and Tuesday, August 23 and Thursday, August 25 at Hazel Miller Plaza.
The 2022 Summer Concerts at City Park (600 Third Ave. S.) conclude Sunday, August 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a performance by the Jazz Punishments Big Band, led by Jake Bergevin of Edmonds. The group features young musicians from the North West Jazz scene who carry the torch of the legacy of the Big Band jazz tradition.
Tuesday, August 23 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Hazel Miller Park (5th Ave S & Maple S) will host a performance by ADEFUA African Arts Cultural Center, whose mission is to enhance, sustain and support the arts of western- Africans. and culture through programs that promote arts education and the economic development of its community. Its broadcast performances offer dynamic and interactive music and dance presentations, sharing the traditions of West African cultures. For more information, visit www.adefuacenter.org.
And the last concert of summer 2022 will take place on Thursday, August 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., still at Hazel Miller Park, with the soul and folk duo from Portland Oregon, Wren the Band.
