The easterly swell window is wide open and the surf is pumping all weekend long. The high pressure over New Zealand sends a steady supply of overhead to double the overhead surf before the low pressure takes shape just offshore and plunges south early next week. This should help ensure light winds and good conditions along the Superbank for the next few days – and it will help strengthen the surf with more ESE swells, keeping the waves above and the right wind on Monday.

New South Wales
Like Queensland, NSW sees well over its head, halfway through the easterly surfing throughout the weekend. The developing low offshore brings more variable winds along the coast on Sunday and Monday, but it will also bring another solid blow of easterly swell for the start of the new week. From now on it is possible to see light winds offshore for Monday morning with the new swell pulse bringing stronger waves.

South West Australia
A deep and powerful polar low early in the week developed winds of nearly 60 knots as it crossed the Southern Ocean. The result – a long period SW swell that moves into the second half of the weekend with XL surf at some deep water breaks. The high pressure brings most easterly winds to sea and very good conditions. Surfing slows down early next week but still looks solid on Monday with better conditions expected.
