The mission of the sanctuary is to provide high quality veterinary care, compassion and comfort to dogs until the end of their lives or until they find new loving homes.
Currently housing around 120 senior dogs, the operators of the sanctuary are advocating for more people to adopt senior dogs and work with rescue groups to advance this mission.
As their website reads, “we don’t care about the amount of time they have left, but rather the quality of life we can provide them during that time.”
Since the dogs cannot receive visitors at this time due to social distancing and preventing the spread of COVID-19, the facility is broadcasting the dogs to their assembly room for dog lovers in the whole world can always have the chance to meet them online.
Since the sanctuary is home to so many puppies at once, you will be sure to see a lot of dogs at all times. You will be very entertained with all the relaxing, barking, howling and sleeping moments.
Once the sanctuary is back up and running and you allow tours, you can take a tour with your friends who are also keen to meet these old southern dogs.
Tours of 45 to 60 minutes must be planned in advance and only include six people at a time. Unfortunately, you can’t bring other animals with you, even if you want your own furry baby to make new friends. Tours are only $ 10 per person, so it’s perfect for an affordable summer day trip.
