The Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival has announced the first lineup of artists for its 17th edition in May.

The lineup for the festival was announced via Instagram on Tuesday April 5 and is headlined by headliner PJ Morton, the Grammy Award-winning American soul musician and Maroon 5 keyboardist. produce include Emma-Jean Thackray, Alex Porat, Hablot Brown and Samm Henshaw.

A host of prominent Indonesian actors including Afgan, Danilla Riyadi, Gangga, Oslo Ibrahim, Rendy Pandugo and Yura Yunita have also been announced as performers. The festival also teased “many more surprises”, which are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the Java Jazz Festival 2022 are on sale now, with daily passes for 700,000 RP. A special ticket will be required for the PJ Morton show, which costs 350,000 RP.

The use of face masks will be mandatory at all times during the festival, with entry only permitted to patrons with a full COVID-19 vaccination, with at least a booster dose. A negative antigen test result is also required for entry.

Participants will also need to update the PeduLindungi app with their latest information on COVID-19, including all vaccination statuses. Foreign festival-goers will have to validate their vaccinations via this link.
