Extract from Music in the Glen:

Dan Fuegel is a local singer / songwriter who was half of the famous acoustic show Dan and Joe of the 90s. He wrote a song for the movie “Summer of Tomorrows” in 2003 and sold his Borrowed Time Cd in Gap stores. This Music in the Glen show will be a mix of originals and covers chosen for this audience.

Doug beardsley has been a vital member of the creative music community of the Binghamton area for half a century, as a jazz performer, piano teacher and improvising clinician. He leads a group of experienced players including Rob Weinberger, Larry Lolly and Tom Killian in a rescheduled jazz performance in early July.

These concerts will take place again in beautiful Glendale Park, 400 Glendale Drive, Endicott, from Tuesday June 8 and will continue until Saturday October 2. Shows will start at 6 a.m. on Tuesday and 4 a.m. on Saturday, and will last 2 hours, weather permitting. There is plenty of space to set up blankets and chairs, and parking is available nearby. All shows are free, but donations of $ 5 to $ 10 will be requested to compensate the musicians.

Music in the Glen (MTIG) is a 30 concert series featuring styles of rock, pop, blues, funk, jazz, country, outlaw, folk, indie, new orleans, world, caribbean and bluegrass, performed by some of the best musicians of our region. It was created by musician Rob Weinberger last summer to give the community the opportunity to experience live music after most other events were canceled. It has also provided musicians with rare and welcome opportunities to perform. The series was well received and well attended, which led to its return this year. Since moving from New York City in 1995, Rob has served the Southern Tier as a musician, teacher, and healer, and has performed or recorded with over 50 acts.
